Help Us:

Join Us:
The Department is always looking for new members, both male and female.  If you live in Galloway Township, think you have what it takes, and have the time to offer, please contact your local Fire Company via the posted contact information.

If you're not sure which company to call, contact the Deptartment Administative Assistant.

Donations & Fund Raising:
While it is true that each of the five individual fire companies receive annual stipends from the Township of Galloway, it is in no way near enough to fully fund the day to day operation of the these companies.

To make up for this, each company conducts their own fundraising activities.

That's right, even in this day and age when people have very little time, the members of YOUR local fire department give up more of their free time to conduct various fundaisers.

Please participate in the various fire company fund raising activities.

Red/Blue Lights:
The Officers and members of the Department are permitted by the State of New Jersey to install and use flashing red or blue Lights, in their personal vehicles, while responding to emergencies.

Please, If you are driving, in Galloway or any other town, and someone is behind you with red or blue lights, please pull to the right and the let them pass.

Not only is this the law, but the people or property they may be responding to may be yours!

House Numbers:
Ensure that you have large house numbers that are clearly visible from the street.

Numbers should be four inches tall, high-contrast and lighted.

Fire Hydrants:
If you live near a fire hydrant, help us help you.  Keep it clear of any debris, high grass and snow.

Report any damaged hydrant to the Galloway Township Police Department immediately.

Limited Access Driveways:
We all like our privacy.  However, if your house is set back in the woods and your driveway is very narrow, you could hamper our ability to respond to an emergency at your house.  Please make sure your driveway is wide enough for emergency apparatus to get to your house.
