Multiple GTFD Companies and Absecon FD Handle MVA...

13 AUGUST 2008 - At approximately 05:15, Stations 26-1 and 26-3 were dispatched to Pitney Rd. in the area of Collins Rd. for a reported motor vehicle crash.  Shortly thereafter, Station 8 (Absecon FD) was also called for mutual aid.

C26-10 assumed incident command.  Station 26-1 units provided fire protection and vehicle fluid mitigation.

Upon arrival, C26-300 assumed Extrication Operations and reported one victim trapped in each of the two vehicles.  Both vehicles required door removal and dash displacement.

Soon after, Station 26-4 was dispatched to the Galloway Township municipal complex for a Helicoper Landing Zone assignment.  The location was later moved to the Pitney Rd. ball fields.

R26-38 removed the the driver's side door and displaced the dashboard on vehicle one. Rescue 8 removed the doors, displaced the dashboard, and rolled back the roof the second vehicle.

No other civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

Units were on scene for approximately 1.25 hours and cleared shortly after 06:30.

6 AUGUST 2008 - Insulation is in, dry-wall is done, interior painting is nearly complete, final electric and plumbing have begun, asphalt is done, lettering is nearly done, grading is on-going...

South Egg Harbor (Station 26-5) Makes Quick Knockdown at Structure Fire...

24 JULY 2008 - At 15:11 hours, Station 26-5 was dispatched to the 1300 block of West Aloe St, a mutli-unit apartment complex, for a reported structure fire.

First arriving units confirmed an apartment fire.    The initial crew entered the apartment and quickly knocked down the fire.  The fire was declared under control in 10 minutes.   The apartment sustained fire, heat and smoke damage.

The occupant was home at time of fire and was unable to return to apartment at this time.

Egg Harbor City (Station 10) also assisted with the incident.

Crews remained on location to ensure the fire did not spread into adjoining areas and to ventilate the apartment.

The Galloway Twp Ambulance Squad, Galloway Twp. Police Dept., and Galloway Twp. Fire Investigation Unit also responded to the incident.

The cause is unknown at this time and is being investigated by the Galloway Twp. Fire Investigation Unit.

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

Units were on scene for approximately 2 hours and cleared shortly after 17:00

Pomona (Station 26-3) Rough wiring and plumbing finished, dry-wall has started ....

16 JULY 2008 - The rough wiring and plumbing has been completed, HVAC is done, back up generator has been installed, stucco work is done, and the site is nearly ready for asphalt.

ADDITIONAL STATION 26-3 CONSTRUCTION PICTURES

Stations 26-4 and 26-3 Work Motor Vehicle Crash...

5 JULY 2008 - At 01:10 hours, Stations 26-4 and 26-3 were requested for an extrication assignment at the White Horse Pike and Third Ave. in the Absecon Highlands section of the Twp.

Upon arrival, command requested R26-38 cut the door off of one the vehicles. 26-4 personnel assisted with vehicle stabilization and de-energization. 26-4 and 26-3 personnel assisted EMS with patient removal, packaging, and loading into the ambulances. E26-35 was assigned to provide fire protection, via a charged 1 3/4", for the rescue team.

The Galloway Twp Ambulance Squad and Galloway Twp. Police Dept. also responded to the incident.

All units cleared the scene just before 02:00 hours.
